REVIEW: TRANSFORMERS REVENGE OF THE FALLEN
In any case, the first film this summer that I feel is worth writing about is Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Star Trek was unexpectedly cool too, but this is Transformers!!! Who hasn't seen te cartoons when they were small? Probably the kids of today, but that doesn't matter, they'd still watch the movie anway.
This is a heavily hyped up movie. People weren't expecting alot when the first film came out, but it was really good. So coming from that movie, the expectations are really high. The good news is Michael Bay delivered!!!
This is one of the best action films I've seen since the first one came out. It's hilarious. There are alot of edge-of-your-seat-grabbing scenes. It's sexy... well Megan Fox and Isabel Lucas are both hot!!! Everything you loved about the first movie is back, and it's got more robots!!!
Thousands of years ago, some of the ancient robots arrived on Earth and they created a weapon that would suck out our sun. That's what the Decepticons are looking for right now. You see in order for their race to survive, they need that energy, and that basically means our planet's toast. Meanwhile Sam goes to college and the government's working with the Autobots to seek and destroy Decepticons that arrive on the planet.
Michael Bay really put in everything in this movie to top the original one. That's understandable, this film's got greater expectations than the first one. He throws in moments after moments after moments of cool that you won't have time to digest one awesome moment before another one comes in. That's fine... this is a summer film. You don't need to put your thinking caps on when you're watching it. That's how you enjoy movies like these. Turn off your brain for 2 and a half hours.
As much as I want to put spoilers on (I really do... I want to write as many awesome scenes in this post), I know at this time, alot of people still haven't seen this. Probably, I'll just give you some things to look forward to when you see the movie. I love Sam's mother. The taser scene is hilarious. I also like the bad ass Optimus Prime fight scenes. Bumblebee's still my favorite autobot. But the twins, I'm not sure what happened to them in the end but they're in the running for second place autobots. The Constructicons vs the twins... OMFG!!! What else? Oh yeah Megan Fox's curves (I'm drooling)!!!
This is probably just all the adrenaline talking and a second look may not warrant the same opinions. But I like this movie. I think that this is better than the first one. And I'm definitely going to buy the original DVD for this one once it is released.
I'm a kid at heart.
